The Office of the Production Chief at Pratt & Whitney is looking for outstanding individuals with excellent communication, project management, & leadership skills who are looking to gain exposure & advance their career within Raytheon Technologies. This position is for an operations Senior Manager who is motivated to learn & gain experience in a fast-paced Operations environment. This role will report to the 17/24K Production Chief Office & will be responsible for leading a team that will drive the organization to execute product enhancements & key configuration changes for the 17/24K programs.

Job Description:

In this role you will be working as the primary operations interface between the Program Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT), Operations teams, & the customer. You will be responsible for coordinating communications, projects, & schedules between the IPMT member organizations (Engineering, Quality, Partnerships, Program Management, & Finance) as well as other Operations organizations (Mod Centers, OpX & Operations Planning) to ensure alignment between IPMT goals & operational execution of all Propulsion System changes. This role provides operational alignment to the program office for both OEM & MRO efforts will work alongside the Operations teams to develop risk mitigation plans supporting on-time incorporation of these key configuration changes. Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) execution is an enabler to the success of these product enhancements & will be a key deliverable. You will own direct airframer/customer communications on a regular cadence ensuring alignment & industrial readiness.   • Drives Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) relative to IPT/CIPT milestones
  • Manages development hardware delivery as required
  • Develop forums, leverages tools & processes; identifies, assesses, monitors, & elevates risk to schedule based on hardware requirements, Engine Development Plan (EDP), & production schedule
  • Owns production cut-over plans
  • Drives right-to-left planning leading to product definition completion on time at correct quality level
  • Develops industrial plans accounting for capital, labor & manufacturing changes to support development & production requirements
  • Coordinates with Planning, Supply Chain, & Business Units for initial MRP load & part/module level MRP changes to ensure balanced consideration of Engineering Changes, supplier transitions, or other potential challenges
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineering on planning, conducting & validating producer capacity
  • Champions MRL progression & producibility tasks in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering
  • Tracks & measures delivery performance; leads initiatives to meet industrial requirements including delivery, quality, & inventory

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline & minimum 5-7 years of experience in Operations or disciplines listed in Role Description. Desire to learn & advance career at P&W is imperative.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operations experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or Shop floor Management. Technical experience in Engineering Change management & implementation. Program Management experience.
  • Superior written & oral communication skills & demonstrated leadership skills required
  • A successful candidate will be detail & results oriented with good problem solving skills, able to meet commitments & resolve conflicting priorities. Understanding strategic & business implications; working to provide solutions will be critical. A successful candidate must have demonstrated experience working with executive level management & be a high energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement.
