Clamp Operator – Forklift Experience

Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Clamp Operator in Wilmington, OH. This role requires forklift experience with clamp attachments and offers an opportunity to join a stable, supportive, and thriving team.

Functional Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts with clamp attachments to handle and move materials safely and efficiently.
• Distinguish between grades of paper and film to allocate materials to appropriate machines.
• Receive inbound materials, ensuring accuracy and proper storage procedures.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts and input data accurately into computer systems.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including lifting up to 35 lbs.

Functional Requirements

• Operate and maintain forklift equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills to share information with supervisors and teammates.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a forklift operator, with specific expertise in clamp attachments.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in forklift operations with clamp attachments.
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and inventory management processes.
• Basic knowledge of production environments and packaging materials is a plus.
